Offered in June each year, Happy Camp is our visual and performing arts camp for those with special needs, aged 3 or older. Energetic campers will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities including music, theatre, dance, and arts & crafts. Each week of camp has a unique theme, culminating in a performance to showcase the skills learned during camp.
Happy Camp is open to any child, whatever their diagnosis may be. With a positive approach, engaging philosophy and 1:1 staff-to-camper ratio, our overall experience is different from any other. Happy Camp provides our students with opportunities to build social skills and creates an environment where they are sure to succeed! At Merrimack Hall, we believe our students are only limited by the labels society chooses to assign them. We never turn away a student because of the nature of their disability.
Merrimack Hall welcomes students of all ability levels into the arts.

Volunteers are critical to the success of our mission.
They work with our students in every aspect of the Happy Headquarters to learn music, art, and dance. More importantly, they serve as mentors and friends to their partners with special needs. In each class, we encourage our volunteers to interact with students in a meaningful way to create lasting friendships.
We encourage you to explore our other programs!
