Volunteer at Merrimack Hall
There are many ways to get involved at Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center! We depend on help from our volunteers at nearly every activity in the Hall. If you are interesting in helping expand and enhance the performing arts in Huntsville, we have a place for you!
Performance Volunteers
At least seven volunteers are needed at every performance and Merrimack Hall function to work at our Will Call desk, sell concessions, and serve as ushers. In exchange, volunteers are invited to stay and watch the performance! To volunteer at an event, please contact Cody Hann at (256) 534-6455 or by e-mail.
Dance Your Dreams! and Camp Merrimack
As part of our weekly Dance Your Dreams! program, we have approximately 30 children with special needs who take dance classes at Merrimack Hall. Each child is paired with a volunteer who helps them execute the movements to the best of their ability. No experience is needed! Dance Your Dreams meets four times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and follows the Huntsville City Schools calendar.
Camp Merrimack is an offshoot of Dance Your Dreams! and is held during the summer months. This week-long day camp focuses not only on dance education for kids with special needs, but also music, acting and visual art.
