An Evening with Manuel Barrueco
Internationally known as one of the most influential classical guitarists of all time, Manuel Barrueco will appear for a one-night, intimate solo performance. Grammy-nominated Barrueco began his guitar career at age eight in his native country of Cuba, and now serves as a faculty member at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland.
Over a span of three decades, he has released more than 20 albums and performed around the world at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, Musikverein in Vienna, Teatro Real in Madrid, and has performed as a guest soloist with the Russian State Symphony, Helsinki Philharmonic, New Japan Philharmonic and Auckland Symphony in New Zealand.
CDs will be available for purchase, and Manuel will be signing autographs in our lobby directly following his performance.

The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra is proud to present internationally acclaimed guitarist Manuel Barrueco plays Rodrigo's beloved Concierto de Aranjuez. Australian guest conductor Tobias Foskett leads a program that also includes Smetana's The Moldau, Copland's Lincoln Portrait and Brahms' Symphony No. 3.
